Narasimha Puja for Narasimha Jayanthi

Narasimha Chaturdasi or Narasimha Jayanthi is the appearance anniversary of Lord Narasimhadeva, the half-man, half-lion incarnation of the Supreme Lordnarasimha. On this day fasting is observed until dusk, and then followed by feasting. This is a most auspicious day to remember the great mercy the Lord has upon His pure devotees to protect them from all varieties of dangerous situations.

Here are some beautiful prayers for worshipping Lord Narasimhadeva:

namas te narasiṁhāya
prahlādāhlāda-dāyine
hiraṇyakaśipor vakṣaḥ-

Anjaneya Puja for Hanuman Jayanthi

Hanuman Jayanti or Hanumath Jayanti is celebrated as the birthday of Hanuman, the monkey god. hanumanIn some parts of India it is celebrated on the 15th day of the Shukla Paksha, during the month of Chaitra.

Hanuman is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama, and is worshipped for his unflinching devotion to the god. Hanuman Jayanti is an important festival of Hindus. Hanuman is the symbol of strength and energy. Hanuman is said to be able to assume any form at will, wield rocks, move mountains, dart through the air, seize the clouds and rival Garuda in swiftness of flight. He is worshipped in folk tradition as a deity with magical powers and the ability to conquer evil spirits.

Gowri Vrata

Gowri Vrata/Puja which is also known as Swarna Gowri Vrata or Gowri Habba is observed/performed in various parts of India on the third day of the waxing moon in the Hindu month of bhaadrapada. It is the day preceding Ganesha Chaturthi day. It is believed that this is the day Goddess Parvati comes to her maternal house and the next day her son Ganesha comes to take her back to their home in Kailasa.

The Swarna Gowri Puja is dedicated to Goddess Gowri or Parvati and done with the intention that Goddess Gowri will bless the house with auspiciousness,  material prosperity, health and long life.

Krishna Janmashtami Puja

Krishna Janmasthami is the celebration of the day that Bhagwan Krishna incarnated in human form upon the Earth. It is celebrated at midnight on the eighth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada (August-September).

The day is celebrated by worshipping Bhagwan Krishna, fasting and chanting devotional kirtan and bhajans until past midnight.

Shri Rama Navami Puja

Shri Rama Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. Rama Navami falls on Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, the ninth day of the month of Chaitra in the Hindu calendar. In 2013, it falls on April 19th.
